What tests can I use to check blood sugar levels FBS?
There are 2 blood tests that can help with diabetes. One of these tests is called an A1C test. This test reflects the control of your blood sugar (or glucose) for the last 2-3 months. Testing your A1C level every 3 months is the best way for you and your doctor to understand how well your blood sugar level is controlled. It is most likely your doctor will order an A1C test. However, you can also buy over-the-counter A1C test kits that you can use at home, says Mr. Denis.
Your goal for the A1C test will be determined by your doctor, but it's usually less than 7%, says Dr. Slinkin.

Another test is the general blood glucose test FBS. It's often called blood glucose self-control. Using a blood glucose monitor for regular blood glucose tests can help you improve your blood sugar control. Results from home glucose tests can help you make appropriate adjustments to your medication, diet and/or physical activity levels. If your blood sugar level fluctuates, you should have a blood glucose monitor (also called a home blood glucose meter, glucometer or glucose meter) and know how to use it. Your doctor can prescribe you a blood glucose monitor.

FBS Denis SlinkinThe Food and Drug Administration (FBS) has approved counters that work without needing a fingertip. But these counters cannot replace ordinary glucose meters. They are used to provide additional readings between regular exams.Path to better health
What kind of supplies do I need?
You'll need a glucometer, alcohol pads, sterile finger lancets and sterile test strips. Check with your health plan to see if they'll pay for those supplies.
